Brightonix Imaging (led by Jae Sung Lee, CEO), a medical imaging solution company, announced that it has been selected for the "Post-TIPS" project organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Post-TIPS is a program that selects and supports promising startup companies verified through TIPS, with a focus on facilitating their substantial scale-up and fostering global unicorn companies.

Through this program, Brightonix Imaging will receive funding of 500 million won for 18 months to enhance its business operations, and will have support for open innovation, scale-up, and global expansion through the Korea Institute of Science Technology (KIST), the organizing institute for Post-TIPS. 

Since its selection in the TIPS program in 2018, Brightonix Imaging has advanced its preclinical PET system technology and has been developing a high-resolution PET system for brain through the Korea Medical Device Development Fund in 2020. Furthermore, their AI-based brain PET image analysis solution, BTXBrain, has received approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety as a medical device in December 2022 and is being rapidly deployed in domestic medical institutions.

Brightonix Imaging, which leads technological innovation in the field of advanced medical imaging has also received the 2022 Korea Innovative Startup Award (Minister of Science and ICT Award), and plans to accelerate global expansion through product certifications and marketing. With the selection for the Post-TIPS program, Brightonix Imaging has gained an opportunity to leap forward as a growing company in the global market.
